Karl White, owner of Thame Cars www.thameservicestation.co.uk/ is currently on his bike riding from Rome to Pompeii in Italy. He is probably taking in some stunning scenery, eating fine food, enjoying a little wine but undoubtedly tackling some very challenging hills & long hours on the saddle too - ouch! All this to raise money for local charity Thomley, http://thomley.org.uk.
Thomley, in Worminghall, is a place where disabled people of any age, their families, friends & carers can relax & have fun together in an environment where they are safe, understood & accepted. Thomley opened 15 years ago & has grown its facilities, services & visitor numbers massively in that time. It now receives over 7,500 visits a year from disabled people, a 25% increase in this past year alone.
Karl has already raised over £1,500 on his justgiving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/karl-white-rome-to-pompeii and has pledged to personally match all funds raised. 85p of every £1 donated to Thomley goes directly to helping disabled people. Please do dig deep to support Karl on this epic journey & help disabled people & families in our area.
Good luck Karl & thank you! Your hard work & generosity mean so much to the staff & visitors of Thomley.
