Thame based Lewis Frimpong is set to make his professional boxing debut this month

Thame based Lewis Frimpong is set to make his professional boxing debut at the iconic York Hall, Bethnal Green on 18th September, promoters Goodwin Boxing have called the event ‘Havoc in the Hall’.

Lewis identical twin, Courtney Frimpong is also set to make his professional boxing debut during the same event.

They will make history as they will be the only current twins in the UK boxing professionally at the same time. Lewis will be fighting in the lightweight division (60kg) and Courtney in the super lightweight division (64kg). In their amateur careers they both won Southern Area Titles and were silver medallists in the Haringey Box Cup. They have both beaten some of the very good current pros in their amateur careers and will do the same in the pro ranks. Both hit with power, speed and accuracy but have slightly different boxing styles.

The twins are coached by Andy Gill at Evolve Boxing Academy in Amersham and promoted by Goodwin Boxing. It is sure to be an entertaining night of boxing and an exciting pair of boxers to follow on their journey to become title holders in the pro division. Please follow them on social media:

Lewis is also looking for 1 or 2 local companies to sponsor him to help fund his journey (monies go towards kit, branding, medical expenses/tests, training etc) if you would be interested in sponsoring Lewis please contact Gemma Eggleton or Lewis Frimpong. For a small sum, sponsors will benefit from branding on their kit which will be worn on their media day, at their professional debut at York Hall Bethnal Green and during training, all of which have exposure across multiple social media platforms, which sponsors will be tagged in.

If you are interested in coming to support them on the day, ticket prices are as follows:

* £45 unreserved
* £75 ringside
* £110 premium ringside (includes a free bar from 5:00-7:30pm)

There is a social media event on the 4th September at 1pm at Evolve Boxing Academy in Amersham. Come down to get a feel for the club and check out the twins boxing capabilities. Pound for pound will be there to interview the twins and will be filmed and shared across social media platforms. There will be music, free food (Curry Goat & Rice), drink and good vibes! Adults and children all welcome.

For any further information please contact Gemma Eggleton (07432631835) / Lewis Frimpong (07432631636).

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
