Officers from the Thame and Abingdon Neighbourhood Policing Teams successfully apprehended a suspect during proactive patrols in crime hotspot areas across South Oxfordshire. The operation led to the discovery of stolen goods, controlled substances, and multiple driving offences.
During their patrols, officers witnessed a suspect actively committing a theft. Upon detaining the individual for a search, law enforcement discovered stolen items along with illegal drugs in their possession.
Further investigations revealed that the suspect was driving unsupervised on a provisional licence and without valid insurance. As a result, the vehicle was seized, and the suspect has been reported for summons to court.
Neighbourhood policing teams continue to crack down on criminal activities, ensuring that offenders are held accountable and communities remain safe.
