Spring Concert - A huge success!

16th April 2026

The RAF Halton Voluntary Band delighted audiences on Saturday with a fantastic Spring Concert in aid of the Royal British Legion. Guests enjoyed a wonderful programme featuring the Holyrood March, selections from Fiddler on the Roof, and a lively Tribute to Michael Jackson. The event was a great success, raising an impressive £455.00 to support the vital work of the Royal British Legion.

A sincere thank you goes to the band for their outstanding performance, and to St Mary’s Church for providing such a beautiful and welcoming venue. Looking ahead, the Royal British Legion is seeking volunteers to support this year’s Poppy Appeal Collection, taking place from 24 October to 7 November. Volunteers are needed for just a couple of hours to help staff collection stalls outside the Town Hall and Waitrose.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please get in touch with [email protected] or call 01844 212833 to fit you in the rota.
