Santa’s Sleigh Returns to Thame THIS WEEKEND!

5th December 2025

Thame & District Round Table has announced the launch of its first Santa Sleigh run of the 2025 season, taking place on Saturday 6 December, between 4pm and 8pm.

Residents will be able to follow Santa’s progress each evening from 6–14 December using the official online tracker, available at trt.fyi/santa.

Organisers have confirmed that some of the traditional routes have been updated this year to ensure coverage of Thame’s growing residential areas. Full route information and daily updates will be published online via the Santa tracker link and through the Round Table’s social media channels.

The sleigh is scheduled to visit the following roads on Saturday:
Roman Way, Sycamore Drive, Cedar Crescent, Old Union Way, Southern Road, Hollier’s Close, Coombe Hill Crescent, Arnold Way, Broadwaters Avenue, Van Diemen’s Road, Corbet Way, Windmill Road and Nelson Street.

Volunteers will be collecting donations throughout the run. Both cash and card payments will be accepted, with all funds raised shared among the local charity groups supporting this year’s collection efforts. Online donations can also be made at trt.fyi/donate.

In a statement from “North Pole HQ,” organisers noted that while the team works hard to ensure Santa is visible to as many families as possible, the sleigh run depends on volunteers giving up their time. Residents are encouraged to use the live tracker to find the best opportunity to see Santa during his visits to the town.

We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
