Santa Steam Specials at Chinnor Railway from this weekend

Santa's Steam Specials were enjoyed by thousands of happy families last year and some of his trains do fill up quickly near to the departure date - please do not leave it until it's too late!
Santa works continuously throughout the year to try and make sure everything is just right and his Chief Booking Elf has decided that all child prices will stay the same for the fifth year running.

Santa and his Elves will visit every family during the journey and they will provide quality presents for all fare-paying children and young people between the ages of 1-15 yrs. Everyone can also enjoy a spiced hot berry cordial and a delicious mince pie served at your seat (alternative squashes and biscuits are also available for younger children).

Trains depart Chinnor station at 10.15, 11.30, 13.00, 14.15 & 15.30. Your return journey from Chinnor to Thame Junction takes just under 50 minutes - which is probably just about the right journey length for younger children.

At Chinnor station there is a large free car park, cafe and a souvenir shop selling a range of toys, train sets, badges, fridge magnets, pens, and a selection of railway books.

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
