15th May 2025
The ducks are back in training and anticipation is soaring — it can only mean one thing: the beloved Thame & District Round Table Duck Race is making its triumphant return on Sunday, 15th June 2025.
This much-loved annual event will once again take place at the Old Long Crendon Road Bridge, Priest End, along the scenic River Thame. Thousands of rubber ducks will take to the water, cheered on by locals and visitors alike, with the race starting promptly at 11:00 AM.
This year promises more quacking fun than ever, with the legendary Captain Ducky making a splashy appearance, support from Lowland Rescue, and the usual sea of yellow racers all vying for victory.
Organisers from Thame & District Round Table are thrilled to bring back the event, which has become a community favourite. “It’s a fantastic day for all ages — a bit of fun, a bit of competition, and all for a good cause,” said a spokesperson.
