Parentkind's 'Be School Ready' Guide Offers Essential Tips for September Starters

16th April 2025

As families across the UK prepare for their children to start primary school this September, Parentkind has released its comprehensive Be School Ready guide to support parents and carers through this important transition.

The guide provides practical advice to help children develop key skills before their first day, such as using the toilet independently, dressing themselves, and recognising their own name. It also offers tips on establishing routines, encouraging independence, and preparing emotionally for the school environment.

In addition to the guide, Parentkind's online hub includes resources like snack and meal planners, webinars on parenting topics, and a SEND support directory. Parents can also join the Be School Ready Facebook group to connect with others navigating the same journey.

For more information and to access the guide, visit Parentkind's Be School Ready page.
