Opticians celebrate outstanding citizens in Thame

A THAME opticians has shown its support for recognising outstanding members of the community by sponsoring the Thame Town Awards.

Each year members of the public nominate people in the town who they feel deserve recognition for their service in the community, in a total of six award categories.

Specsavers Thame on the High Street is one of the sponsors for the awards this year, and particularly the Service with a Smile award, which recognises a business or individual that consistently provides a faultless and friendly service.

Other categories recognise contributions in the creative arts, sports and voluntary sector, as well as the Company of the Year.

Our photos show Specsavers Thame retail director Neil Perry, ophthalmic director Nishita Chauhan and optical assistants Susan Mathews and Jody Wilkinson at the awards ceremony, and our colleagues with the winners of the Service with a Smile award.
