New Year Resolution: Join the Thame-Sinaia Friendship Association!

12th January 2026

Are you looking for a meaningful New Year resolution? Why not join the Thame-Sinaia Friendship Association (TSFA) and help strengthen the bond between our twin towns!

Volunteer Opportunities for 2026

We are actively seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support several key projects that connect Thame and Sinaia (Romania), foster cultural exchange, and celebrate our shared heritage. Your involvement can make a real difference in the following areas:

  • Youth / School Exchanges: Help organise and coordinate educational visits, fostering lasting friendships and learning opportunities for young people in both communities.
  • Romanian Food & Wine Fairs: Assist in planning and running vibrant fairs that showcase the best of Romanian cuisine and beverages, bringing our cultures closer together.
  • Thame and Sinaia Photo Clubs: Support collaborative photography projects and exhibitions, encouraging creativity and visual storytelling among amateur and professional photographers alike.
  • Romanian Cooking Event: Get involved with hands-on cooking demonstrations and workshops, introducing the delights of Romanian cuisine to local residents.
  • Thame Museum Exhibition: Contribute to a special exhibition highlighting the history and ongoing friendship between Thame and Sinaia.

Why Join TSFA?

Since September 2012, Thame and Sinaia have enjoyed a thriving twinning relationship. The TSFA has been recognised by the Thame Town Council as the principal voluntary organisation for fostering links and coordinating activities between the two towns. Our mission is to promote friendship, mutual understanding, and opportunities for exchange between the people of Thame and Sinaia. By joining TSFA, you will play a vital role in building bridges, sharing cultures, and making a positive impact in both communities.
