Four trees were planted on Wednesday morning on public open space in Youens Drive. The trees replace two horse chestnut trees which were felled 12 months ago as a result of bleeding canker disease. Mayor, Cllr Ann Midwinter was pleased to be able to help the council's maintenance team with the planting of two ornamental pear trees (Pyrus ‘Chanticleer’) and two winter flowering cherry trees (Prunus ‘Autumnalis Rosea’).
