Major Redevelopment Underway at PAR72 as Former Racquets Venue Prepares to Reopen Later This Year

8th January 2026

A major redevelopment is underway at PAR72, the former Racquets venue, as the site is transformed into a modern destination for sport, hospitality, and innovation. The building has now been fully stripped back and gutted, marking a key milestone and paving the way for a complete remodelling.

At the centre of the transformation is a significantly enhanced sports bar experience. The reception area has more than doubled in size, creating a stronger and more welcoming arrival for guests. A brand-new bar has been installed and expanded to four times its original footprint, designed to become the social heart of the venue.

The redevelopment also includes a dedicated space for a new state-of-the-art gym, adding a premium fitness offering and broadening the venue’s appeal to health and performance-focused users.

Golf will play a major role in the new PAR72 concept. A deal has been completed with the UK’s number one golf simulator company to bring Trackman technology to Oxfordshire. The introduction of Trackman simulators will deliver world-class performance analysis and immersive, data-driven golf experiences for players of all levels.

To support the expanded range of activities, a new modern kitchen has been designed to serve the sports bar, social interactive darts, and golf simulator areas. This will ensure efficient and seamless food and beverage service throughout the venue.

The former Racquets site is being reimagined as PAR72, a destination built for performance, hospitality, and innovation. The venue is scheduled to open later this year, bringing new energy and purpose to the location.
