Oxford County Council's 'Better Broadband for Oxfordshire' contract with BT is drawing to a close. This programme has enabled nearly 78,000 Oxfordshire premises to have access to superfast broadband, reaching over 97% of Oxfordshire premises. However they are not finished yet. The county council team secured £6.3m of funding from DeFRA during 2019, for delivering further ultrafast (full fibre broadband) aimed at businesses in rural Oxfordshire. This has now been contracted with Thame parish planned to receive additional coverage to be delivered by Airband. The premises in plan under this new contract are shown below. If there are premises relatively near to these which would also like full fibre broadband connections, there may be options available to work with the supplier using one of the government’s gigabit voucher schemes.
