Lord Williams's School launches Our School Lottery

Today (February 1st), sees the launch of the Lord Williams’s School, Our School Lottery, which has been set up to raise money for those “special extras” that help support students at the school as well as enhancing the learning environment.

“It’s a fantastic way to bring parents, carers, school staff and the wider community together, in partnership with Lord Williams’s School, and at the same time give something back,” explained, Esme Humphries, Chair of the Lord Williams Parents Association (LWPA). “We hope to raise funds for those special extras that will support and enrich the education of all students at Lord Williams’s School; whether that’s specialist equipment or items for classrooms, sports and IT equipment, or to complement the learning environment.”

The lottery is quick and easy to set up and tickets cost £1 each. Prize draws take place every week on a Saturday, with two prizes to be won: a jackpot prize of £25,000 from all schools entering Your School Lottery nationally, and the Lord Williams’s School Your School Lottery prize – guaranteed to be won every week by one person!

Esme added: “40% of all ticket sales go directly to the LWPA, so if we consistently sell 500 tickets every week, we will raise £10,400 each year!  Anyone living in the UK can play so please help us spread the word to family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support is greatly appreciated, and we wish you the very best of luck.”

The Lord Williams’s School Your School Lottery first prize draw will take place on on Saturday 13th March.
