A THAME opticians celebrated a special milestone recently, marking five years of serving the community with a series of birthday celebrations in store.
The team at the locally owned and run Specsavers in Thame welcomed customers during the weekend of 21 February to join in the anniversary festivities, with decorations, refreshments and a celebratory cake - baked by a member of the team - helping to mark the occasion.
Since opening its doors in 2021, the store has provided eye and hearing care to thousands of local residents, building strong relationships with customers and becoming a familiar presence on the High Street. The team has also more than doubled in that time, from just five staff and one optometrist to 12 staff, six optometrists and the store's two directors, Neil Perry and Nishita Chauhan.
Store director Neil, said: 'Reaching five years in Thame is a really proud moment for us. We've loved getting to know the community and being able to support people with their eye and hearing care over the years. It was wonderful to celebrate with customers who have supported us since the beginning.'
Fellow store director Nishita, added: 'Our team works incredibly hard to create a welcoming environment where people feel comfortable and confident in the care they receive. Celebrating this milestone together, with colleagues and customers, was a lovely way to reflect on how far we've come and we're excited for the years ahead.'
