Communities across the country are stepping up to the plate to provide free school meals to children after a campaign by Marcus Rashford.
It comes after a motion to extend free school meals over holidays during the Covid-19 pandemic was rejected by MPs.
The Manchester United striker had called on people to "unite" to protect the most vulnerable children.
The below Thame and Chinnor businesses have said that they will help out with free children's meals:
The Chippy, Thame
Smart's Fish and Chip Shop, Thame
The Cottage Bakery, Thame
Rumsey's Chocolaterie, Thame
The Wheatsheaf Pub, Chinnor
Whites Windmill Cafe, Chinnor
The Wee Bookshop, Chinnor
As well as the above, there is the Thame Sharing Life Foodbank. If you're struggling to pay for children’s meals this half-term Sharing Life can put together a food parcel and deliver them to you within a certain area. Call 07541 299010 or 0300 201 0212. You will have to give a simple explanation of your circumstances.
