The Lea Park Residents Association has long been wanting the speed limit reduced on the estate. The current speed limit is at 30mph but residents would like this reduced to 20mph.
A speed survey granted by the town council is being conducted this week by the Lea Park Residents Association to find out if the majority of residents would support this 10mph reduction.
Various other methods to raise speed awareness have been undertaken by the group but so far none have been successful.
