A difficult afternoon for the Red Kites as three second half goals put an end to our recent unbeaten run.
The first half was a fairly even affair but Josh Hill was the busier of the keepers as Thame didn't carve out too many clear-cut chances.
The second half saw the Red Kites start quite brightly but they fell behind on 65 minutes when Josh Hill pulled off a great save and the ball rebounded to a Kempston player who fired home.
The home side extended their lead 10 minutes later with a decent goal. Thame gave the ball away in the middle of the park and Kempston played a ball over the top which was pulled down superbly by the hosts #7 and he then fired into the roof of the net.
The game was put beyond doubt with 7 minutes to go. A shot via a corner hit Hayden Beadle on the arm, the linesman flagged for handball and after much deliberation the referee awarded a penalty, showed Beadle the red card and Kempston despatched the resulting penalty.
A tough afternoon and we'll look to bounce back at home to Cirencester on Tuesday evening.
