Join Thame Town Council from 4.00pm tomorrow (6 December) in the town centre for an evening full of festive fun and entertainment before the town's Christmas lights are switched on at 7pm by the Mayor and the lucky winner of this year's town trail.
There will be entertainment from local performance groups, lots of food & gift stalls, children's entertainment, two adorable reindeer, Santa's grotto, a lantern parade featuring beautiful willow lanterns made by Thame's primary schools, a steam train, carol singing and more! If you're coming to the event, use #ChristmasInThame to post photos on social media. We hope to see you there tomorrow; festive jumpers and Santa hats are very welcome!
Thank you to ASM Auto Recycling for donating the Christmas tree, Thame Cars for sponsoring the lantern parade and to all our wonderful sponsors and supporters this year; 3B Vehicle Hire, JJ Plumbing & Heating, Lucy Electric, Park Street Dental Clinic, Penquin Stu6ios, Risborough Carers, Shout PR and Thame & District Housing Association. Thank you also to the Red Kite Family Centre, Rumsey's Chocolaterie, Thame Players, Thame Round Table, Wally's Toy Shop, Whizzkidz, Windles Group and to everyone who supports this event.
A reminder that a town centre road closure (High Street, Cornmarket and Buttermarket) will be in force from midday until 10.00pm tomorrow (6 December). Access will be permitted for residents and businesses with off-street parking. The High Street car park will be closed from 11.00am. The 280 bus will continue to serve stops on the Wenman Road loop, but will by-pass the Town Hall and Co-op bus stops.
