Invictus Outdoor area is opening again from tomorrow

Please see the below from Invictus:

We are pleased to announce that from tomorrow, the 4th of July, we will be reopening our outdoor area for training purposes.

Each morning, we will put various pieces of equipment outside, this includes a squat rack, barbell, weight plates, dumb-bells, a spin bike and a rower (weather permitting). If you are planning on coming to train and require a specific piece of equipment, please email us at [email protected] and we will try our best to make it available outside. Of course, there are various pieces of equipment that are not easy to move outdoors, so please do bare this in mind when making your requests. (eg. Please don't ask us to move the Leg Press outside!) The equipment will be out and available for use between the hours of 10am-5pm.

The outdoor area will be accessible via the gate to the right of the building, leading you directly to the outdoor space. We will be leaving hand sanitisers, wipes and disinfectant outdoors, so please do make appropriate use of these. Equally, we ask that you judge sensibly whether it is safe for you to train in the area - if there are already several members training and there is not sufficient space for you to remain socially distanced, we ask that you act accordingly. Our advice is that no more than 8 people should use the space at one time. This is for a trial period only and if successful, shall be continued indefinitely. Bins are provided so please make sure that no rubbish is left behind. The area is CCTV monitored and if there is any misuse of either the equipment or space, it will be closed with immediate effect.

Finally, please note, that the building will not be accessible so you will have no access to our toilets or our water. There will be no exception to entry into the building.

We hope that this provides some support to those of you struggling to train at home. Hopefully, it won't be much longer until we are able to open. As soon as we have more information regarding our reopening, we will notify you.

Thank you for your continued support during what has been a difficult time for us all.
