As from today the Town Hall foyer has become a drop off point for your Love in a Bag donations.
This project is running to help homeless men and women; to give them a thoughtful gift at a time when many are sleeping rough. Bags are also going to victims of domestic abuse who have had to flee their homes. It’s simple!
1. Choose a handbag or backpack in good condition that you no longer use
2. Then fill it with items for men or women to help with their homelessness - personal care products such as toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, brush, comb, deodorant (no aerosols), sanitary items, lip salve, tissues, wet wipes, face cloth, small towel, hand sanitiser, face mask, also maybe a hat, gloves, scarf, socks, pen/pencil, notebook, or a voucher for a retail outlet such as Costa or Greggs where they could buy a hot drink or snack.
3. Pop in a thoughtful note or Christmas card to show them someone cares

What to avoid:
SHARPS- razors, knives, tweezers or scissors
FOOD OR DRINK - nuts, perishables, sweets etc
PHARMACEUTICALS - painkillers, medicines, throat lozenges or mouth wash containing alcohol
