Hartwell Nurseries to sponsor Stone, Bishopstone and Hartwell Spring Fete’s tethered Hot Air Balloon ride

Stone based business, Hartwell Nurseries will be taking part in the Stone, Bishopstone and Hartwell Spring Fete, sponsoring the Fete’s tethered Hot Air Balloon ride.

The Fete will take place at Stone War Memorial Recreation Ground on Monday 28th May, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Owner, Neil Bowness commented on why he wanted to take part in this community event, “as a business, our core purpose is our people, both customers and staff. To be able to provide our customers with top quality customer service, products and prices, but also a place to relax and to treat themselves.

We want to expand Hartwell Nurseries’ community reach into local villages and bring everyone together, either over a cuppa or plants.”

Hartwell Nurseries has recently opened its brand new two-storey Tea Room. The Tea Room offers a range of hot and cold drinks and food along with freshly prepared sweet treats, which are all going down a treat already with both customers and its staff.

Neil continued “we wanted to create a hub for people in the local and surrounding areas to come in, meet up with friends and family, enjoy our new space and a slice of cake or two”.

Hartwell Nurseries is for customers and tradesmen, a ‘Gardener’s Garden Centre’ no matter whether you garden for fun or do it for a living.”

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
