Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a Theft of a Motor Vehicle from Chinnor.
Between 8:00pm on Monday (22/5) and 5:50am Today (23/5). The vehicle N***COO, A green Land Rover Defender, was stolen by unknown offenders from Church Road, from a residential parking area overnight
If you have seen any suspicious looking people or vehicles in the area or have any information relating to this message please call the Police via the 24 hour non-emergency telephone number 101 and quote URN 155 230517.
Some Crime Prevention Advice:
- Fit a mechanical immobiliser such as a steering or pedal lock
- Fit an alarm for added security
- Fit a tracking device
- Thieves will target component parts so consider marking them using a forensic marking solution or system
- Keep the vehicle in a lockable garage/building or park in well-lit areas, which are overlooked Have the vehicle identification number etched on windows
- Consider fitting a hidden battery isolation or a fuel cut-off switch
- Take photographs of unusual features, modifications, damage or repairs which could aid identification if stolen
- Ensure any valuables are removed from the vehicle
