Green Crendon Hosts Sustainable Clothes Swap Event

13th March 2025

Residents of Long Crendon and surrounding areas are invited to refresh their wardrobes sustainably at the upcoming Clothes Swap Event on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the LCBC Hall.

This event encourages participants to exchange up to five gently used clothing items, promoting eco-friendly fashion practices. Attendees will receive tokens corresponding to the number of items they contribute, which can then be used to select new pieces during the swap. For example, donating five items allows participants to take home five new-to-them items.

To ensure a smooth experience, organizers request that clothing donations be dropped off in advance. Items can be left with Tracy at Bucksum or at the Renewed Eco Shop in the Square in Long Crendon. Residents of Worminghall can coordinate drop-offs by contacting Kate at 07887 558386.

In addition to the clothing exchange, attendees can enjoy tea and cake available for purchase through cash donations. Any clothing items remaining after the event will be donated to charity or retained for future clothes swap events, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

This event offers a fantastic opportunity for community members to come together, promote sustainable fashion, and revitalize their wardrobes in an environmentally conscious way.
