Got an old laptop or tablet knocking around in a cupboard? Turncloud need your help!

Got an old laptop or tablet knocking around in a cupboard? Now is the time to put it to good use, as Turncloud try to help the nation’s children with their home schooling.

Never before has there been such a demand for homes to have sufficient digital devices to help children and families to access remote education.  And now we find ourselves in another Covid-19 lockdown with children still struggling to have the essential tools to enable them to continue their education from home.

Here at Turncloud, we want to help…but we need your help. How?

  • If you have any old laptops or tablets that you no longer use as you have upgraded or do not need them anymore then you can donate them to us to #TurnItAround
  • Our team will then review the device and see if it is possible, with some minimal work, to be set up for a young person to use for their home schooling
  • All devices will be completely reset and wiped  to get rid of any data on them, before passing them onto a school or charity
  • We will then work with schools across the region to make sure those digital devices are supplied to those that really need them

What do you need to do?

Simply send your electronic device to:

Or contact us on the email address below and you can drop them off to us.

The programme is operating through schools. We have already distributed a number of laptops, so if you are a school who believe one or more of your students would benefit from receiving a device to help them manage their home schooling, then please reach out to us at turnitaround@turncloud.co.uk

Unfortunately, we are not able to supply devices directly. So recommend passing this information onto your school to get them to contact us on your behalf.

While we will endeavour to use every device donated and pass it onto a school, it is important to note that sadly in some situations this may not be possible due to the nature of the hardware and/or software. However rest assured, as we will be able to use it as spares to upgrade other units to create one that does work.
