Calling all brown bin permit holders!
You can have extra garden waste collected, on your normal scheduled collection day only, between 2 November and 13 November 2026.
Leave out a maximum of four additional sacks (standard 60L size) next to your brown bin. Sacks must be left untied so the crews can check that only garden waste is inside.
Leftover pumpkins?
Chop it up and put it in the food waste bin or leave it whole beside the bin w/c 2 November. Just make sure to remove any candles, melted wax or other decorations first. SODC will pick it up on your scheduled food waste collection day where it’ll be turned into renewable energy or fertiliser. Don’t put it in the general rubbish bin.
