After 34 years of hurt, Chinnor Exiles lifted the Oxfordshire County Cup Trophy, doing it in fabulous style after being 2-0 down in the first half to win 3-2 against The Blackbird FC.
Manager Ryan Davis took his team into the Sam Waters cup final after only conceding one goal in the tournament prior to this game. With a strong line up, and only one real absentee, the team were stunned by going two goals behind in the first half. First S. Braun and then McMahon scored to get the game level, Chinnor now had Blackbird on the back foot. The winner came soon after, again McMahon with a fantastic lob over the advancing keeper. He also went on to pick up the man of the match award. Congratulations, another trophy for a very good local side.
