We’re back again for 1 final year of fundraising, Rugby & boozing.
Last year I was completely blown away with the overwhelming love and support Leonie and I received, in what’s been the hardest time in both our lives. Collectively you all helped to raise thousands of pounds (approximately £12k), which is an incredible result. The money is going towards a memorial garden at Queens Hospital, where families can mourn their lost little ones and leave memorabilia. Oscar will also get a special mention as well (naturally)!
This year I’m going to be raising money for a larger organisation, Sands. Sands exists to reduce the number of babies dying and to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support. They’re a fantastic organisation who have helped support millions over the years.
With that being said, we’ve managed to get some upgrades to last years already incredible event. This year we will be playing on the 1st team pitch and have full access to the marquee, we’ll have Chinnors resident superstar DJ Thad Cooper on the decks and enough beer, wine & spirits to sink Noah’s Ark.
There will be another auction and raffle after the match, with some amazing prizes already!
Our opponents are once again the unbeaten beaten wildboys and contrary to their recent posts about being unbeaten…they did lose to a group of fat, middle aged, unfit lads 😉.
We’re early days into the planning, but please save the date and don’t miss out on what’s sure to be another fantastic day!
Can’t wait to see you all on the 15th July!!
Much love, George
