As with every bank holiday, SODC waste crews will empty your bin on a different day. For information on your revised collection day please use the photo above.
You can recycle all of your Easter egg boxes, plastic inserts and foil wrapping, too – they all go in your green bin. Please put recycling in loose or in clear sacks – The waste crew won’t take it away if the recycling is not in see-through bags.
In the unlikely case of any leftover chocolate or hot cross buns, you can use them in recipes on the love food hate waste website or put it in your food waste bin where they be recycled to make green electricity and fertiliser. Don’t forget - you can re-use plastic bags to line your food caddies.
*Please note that Saturday collections will start from 6am, an hour earlier than usual, so remember to put your bins out the night before.
