Jonathan Davies produced a commanding performance to win this year's Thame 10K as almost 800 runners took to the streets for one of Oxfordshire's most popular road races.
Representing Oxford City AC, Davies crossed the line in an outstanding 30 minutes 30 seconds, finishing more than a minute clear of Alex Miell-Ingram of Radley AC (Eagles), who was second in 31:35. Jonathan Sanchez Mosquera of Abingdon AC completed the podium in 31:51.
The women’s race saw Melissa Hawtin of Oxford City AC claim victory in 37:49, finishing 39th overall. Clubmate Erica Davison followed just seven seconds later in 37:56 to complete a memorable one-two for Oxford City AC, while Toni Louise Clayton Woods of Marlow Striders took third place in 39:21.
A total of 779 runners completed the race, with athletes from clubs across Oxfordshire and beyond joined by hundreds of unaffiliated runners enjoying warm conditions and enthusiastic support around the course.

Among the local performances, Harry Pettingell led the way for Thame Runners, finishing eighth overall in an impressive 34:04, while runners of all ages and abilities were warmly applauded across the finish line throughout the morning.
The event once again demonstrated the enduring popularity of the Thame 10K, attracting a large field from across the region and creating a vibrant atmosphere around the town. With excellent performances at the front of the field and hundreds of runners achieving personal goals, another successful staging of the annual race was enjoyed by competitors, volunteers and spectators alike.
