Cromwell Avenue road closure 2 - 4 October - Parking restrictions will apply

Cromwell Avenue in Thame will be closed from the 2nd October to the 4th October. The area likely to be affected will be from Ludlow Drive to Marston Road.

In the interests of public safety it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close the road and impose a ‘No Waiting’ restriction    in order to facilitate carriageway repair works.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and restriction and will operate on 2 October to 4 October 2017.

The “No Waiting” restriction means that wherever there are in place yellow “No Waiting” cones, you will not be able to park vehicles on the highway.

Please note that Notices for urgent works can last up to 5 consecutive days only.

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for those frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.

Further information regarding the works may be obtained by contacting Bob Burgess, Oxfordshire County Council on 0345 310 11 11.

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
