Excitement is mounting as we countdown the final 26 days before the 2022 CPM Thame 10k.
Over 500 athletes have already registered for one of the town's biggest events of the year. The 38 year old race will be run over the traditional course from the playing fields of Lord Williams's School, down through the High Street and out towards neighbouring Towersey, before heading back along the Phoenix Trail and ultimately the school in Oxford Road.
The one big change to the 2022 event is the start time. Following years of the klaxon going off at 9.30 a.m., we have moved the big kick off to 9.00 a.m. in the hope that local residents will be inconvenienced less by the two road closures in place, along the by-pass and the section between the school and Southern Road.
This year we are delighted to welcome back the Thames Valley Air Ambulance who will be providing refreshments before, during and after the race, so please support this worthy cause and get fuelled up at the same time.As usual a number of local charities and worthy causes will benefit from the profits of the event so everyone's a winner at the Thame 10k.
If you are still not registered please go to www.runbritain.co.uk to secure your entry and join hundreds of other like minded athletes who return year after year to enjoy Thame's warm hospitality. Go on, you know you want to!!
