Council Meetings

Tuesday 13 May is the Town Council’s Annual Meeting, you can view the agenda here. At the meeting, the council will elect the Town Mayor and Deputy Town Mayor for 2025/26.

Current Mayor, Cllr Gilbert, will give a review of his year as Mayor, including an update on his fundraising totals for his two chosen charities, Sharing Life Trust and Lord Williams’s Young Carers.

In addition to the annual review of important council documents and committee responsibilities, other items to be considered include:

  • Co-Opting a new councillor
  • Considering the amended plans for planning application P23/S4262/FUL (Land North of Oxford Road)
  • Deciding on a contractor to supply the town’s Christmas Lights for the next 5 years.
