Have you considered joining the upcoming Thame Twinning trip to Montesson?

This year Thame Twinning will be heading off for their long weekend in Montesson, a suburb to the north west of Paris, not far from Saint-Germain-en-Laye, on Friday 14th Sept.

They set off early on Friday morning by coach/mini-bus/car depending on numbers & personal preference, cross by Eurotunnel, stop off at a hypermarket for the mandatory beer/wine/cheese purchases, arriving in the town of Montesson early evening for a meet & greet, drinks & nibbles.

Our hosts take us to their homes where we are looked after for the rest of the weekend, leaving on the afternoon of Sunday 16th Sept. for the trip home.

There will be a trip laid on for Saturday - last year it was to the Louvre, the year before it was a guided tour of the Château de Saint-Germain, & a communal meal laid on by the town of Montesson on Saturday evening or Sunday lunchtime.

If you're concerned about not speaking French, please don't worry - many of their members don't speak the language but have a great time nonetheless.

The costs vary - it's organised on a break-even basis, & while they don't pay for accommodation or meals, they do have to cover the costs of transport. The more that sign up, the lower the individual cost. In 2017, the cost was £10 annual membership & £85 for the transport costs.
