Another successful Community Market Day took place on Tuesday 20 August, with fabulous stalls raising money and awareness for worthwhile causes, alongside face painting and a large bouncy slide for children to enjoy! As well as the weekly community stall on the market this event, hosted by Thame Tuesday Charter Market, runs every year as the traders way of giving something back to the community. This year featured local stalls from Meadowcroft Care Home, Thame Twinning Association, Slimming World Thame – raising funds for Sobell House, and Kimble KNIT club. They were joined by Age UK, Oxford based UCare, and Florence Nightingale Hospice. Live music was provided by the brilliant Hemley Hillbillies, who were raising money for Parkinsons UK.
An event for October half term is currently being planned, so make sure you follow the Facebook page to stay up to date: www.facebook.com/pg/ThameCharterMarket.
