The tidy up will start on Thursday 9 December at 9.00am and continue if needed up to around 2.00pm. Please bring your own rakes, pruners etc if possible. The main task will be to clear leaves to leave the churchyard looking tidy for the winter, and also remove ivy from trees and walls. All are welcome and even if you can only spare half an hour, or can stay for most of the day, your help will be much appreciated. A light lunch will be provided.
Pictured are the Town Council's maintenance team pollarding the lime trees this week. This job which is undertaken every three years, takes the team several days to complete but makes an amazing difference to the look of the churchyard.
