On Friday 29th March, Chinnor Youth Football Community Chartered Standard Club received a very kind donation of £1000 from Asda.
The donated money which came from Asda's community sports funding grant will go towards the newly set-up Under 5's group to help them get started with a kit, as well as new jackets for the U14's team ran by Ben Davies.
Ben had the following to say "We are very grateful for this kind donation and it is great for local businesses such as Asda to be working with groups in the community."
There are currently 17 teams across the Chinnor Youth Football community. This includes various boys and girls teams with ages ranging from 5-23.
They also currently have 8 children working towards their Duke of Edinburgh awards, with some of them helping out in the younger age groups with training as they work towards their awards.
It's exciting times for Chinnor Youth at the moment as they also have their under 18’s team playing football in the Oxfordshire county cup final this weekend.
