Chinnor v Richmond - A Christmas Cracker!

CHINNOR have a bumper Saturday in store as Richmond visit Kingsey Road at 3pm for another Christmas cracker of a National League 1 fixture this weekend.

The Thame-based side, who are on a club record seven-match unbeaten run in the third tier, welcome the leaders with just five points separating the sides.

The stage is set for a sensational afternoon of rugby, but there is so much more on offer.

It all starts with a pre-match skills session at 12.30pm, led by our fantastic Chinnor Rugby Club Thame community coaches.

Children will be able to choose between kicking, footwork and breakdown drills, before a rugby-related activity in the clubhouse until 2.45pm. They will also help form the guard of honour before the match.

Please email [email protected] to book your child a place.

The session is £5 plus entry fee, while it is complimentary for any parent attending the pre-match lunch.

Please note we have experienced unprecedented interest in the lunch and are fully booked for this weekend.

However, there is plenty more to make this a festive fixture to remember with post-match entertainment for everyone.

Jan Robinson, bass guitarist for Scottish pop rock band Marmalade, will be kicking off proceedings with a string of hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s in the marquee.

There will also be a karaoke party in the members’ bar from 6.30pm, so there will hopefully be something for everyone.

Come down to Kingsey Road and share the festive cheer!
