What's happening now?

Chinnor Parish Council has submitted a reviewed neighbourhood plan to South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC). The reviewed plan will replace the Chinnor Neighbourhood Development Plan, adopted on the 12 October 2017.

We are inviting your comments on the reviewed plan and supporting documents during an extended publicity period, which normally runs for six weeks, but due to half term is running from Wednesday 16 October to 5pm on Wednesday 4 December 2019.

Paper copies and supporting documents are available to view at Chinnor Library, Station Rd, Chinnor OX39 4PU during the normal opening hours.

The reviewed neighbourhood plan and supporting documents are also available to view and in an alternative format, both on request, at SODC’s office,135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am and 4.30pm on Fridays. As the neighbourhood planning process includes an independent examination of the plan, your name, postal address and email (where applicable) are required for your comments to be considered.

Next steps

After the publicity period ends, your response, including your name, postal address and email (where applicable) will be sent to an independent examiner to consider. The opportunity for further comments at this stage would only be at the specific request of the examiner.

Most neighbourhood plans are examined without the need for a public hearing. If you think the neighbourhood plan requires a public hearing, you can state this in your comments, but the examiner will make the final decision. Please clearly state in your comments if you wish to be notified of our decision on whether we formally adopt the neighbourhood plan.

All personal data will be held securely by the council and examiner in line with the Data Protection Act 2018. Comments submitted by individuals will be published on our website alongside their name. No other contact details will be published. Comments submitted by businesses or organisations will be published in full, including contact details.
