Chinnor 50 - 10 Worthing

Chinnor could not get their hands on the ball in the first 5 minutes however when they did they scored after 8 minutes following two successive rolling maul Tom Jubb went over to open the scoring and a fine kick from the touchline by Jonny Bentley gave Chinnor an early 7-0 lead. Worthing came back into the game when from inside their own 22 they set a scoring opportunity which was thwarted by a speedy covering by Al Gliksten. A kick form the Worthing Fly Half saw the ball ricochet in Worthings favour for the Blues to score. A Blistering break by Orisi Nawaqaliva straight from a line out saw him score under the posts with Jonny Bentley adding the extras. Worthing were intent on play a free running game at every opportunity. However the half time score left Chinnor 14-5 in the lead
Instant pressure from Worthing after the break resulted in a well taken try by Michael Dingle . At 14-10 with 30 left to play the game looked on a knife-edge. However, the flood gates opened when an inspirational Kieran Goss set up Phil Chesters try. Chinnor were now asserting their dominance and ran in another 5 tries in the final quarter. The pick was a brilliant bit of individualism from Kieran Goss who fielded a kick 60 m out to run through the Worthing defence and score under the posts. Chinnor ran out comfortable winners and entertain promotion rival Cinderford next week
