Local social enterprise company, Chiltern Rangers, are today receiving one of the UK’s highest honours, rewarding their work with conservation in the Chilterns’ region. Equivalent to an MBE, the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Services recognises groups undertaking volunteer work which provides a social, economic or environmental service to the local community.
Having welcomed over 3000 volunteers in 2016 alone, Chiltern Rangers works with companies & organisations – from global corporations to school & youth groups – engaging their members in volunteer conservation projects across the Chilterns’ region, encouraging team building, wellbeing & communication skills, whilst also supporting the environment.
Representatives of the award-winning company – which has already been named Buckinghamshire’s ‘Most Enterprising Charity 2016’ in the Bucks Business Awards – have also received an auspicious invitation to Buckingham Palace to attend a garden party along with other honoured guests.

Chiltern Rangers is a social enterprise working with local communities to provide practical habitat management of the woodlands, chalk grassland, commons, ponds and chalk streams in the Chilterns’ area.
