Bring music to life for your child with the Oxfordshire Music Hub

We’ve formed a new partnership, bringing together organisations from across the county with a real passion for musical education.

It's called the Oxfordshire Music Hub.

Whether your child is still trying to master hot cross buns on the recorder or has already had a taste of fame in the school play and wants to take to the stage with a choir, we can help.

With us, you can find a wide range of accessible and trusted lessons, bands, choirs and groups across the county for your children and young people.

Music for all

Playing, creating, and learning music is the perfect way for young people to develop new skills, make friends and gain a lifelong passion. Whether your children are budding rock stars, classical music fans or just fancy playing an instrument for the first time, there’s so much choice in your local area. Activities include learning to sing, music lessons and seeing live performances.

Groups, bands and choirs

Our groups, bands and choirs are an ideal opportunity for your child to experience playing and performing with others. Try our Saturday group sessions, which run across Oxfordshire at music centres in:

●      Thame
●      Witney
●      Bicester
●      Oxford City
●      Didcot
●      Blackbird Leys

They can also join county orchestras, bands and get involved with Soundabout, our inclusive choir. If you have little ones, then why not get them interested in music from an early age with our Stringbabies programme.

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
