A man has died at a disused quarry in Chinnor, where the public had previously been warned to keep away.
Thames Valley Police said officers were called to Chinnor Quarry, also known as Old Kiln Lakes, at around 18:30 BST on Monday. The body of a man was found at the site, and his family has been informed.
Police confirmed the death is being treated as unexpected, though not suspicious.
The quarry has long been regarded as dangerous, with warnings issued in recent years after its pools—described as “highly toxic”—attracted swimmers.
