The Black Horse in Thame is set to open on the 18th December following an extensive renovation by The White Brasserie Company.
With the building’s period features charmingly restored, the space will comprise of a comfortable bar, snug and bright and airy garden room with a glass roof which will lead out onto a courtyard for al fresco dining, along with a brasserie-style dining space, The Coach House.
In the kitchen, quality ingredients will be carefully sourced for the seasonally changing menu taking influence from classic British pub dishes and French brasserie favourites. An extensive wine list features a well-priced selection of French, European and New World wines to perfectly complement the food, alongside a range of craft beers and artisan British spirits.
Raymond Blanc is one of the directors of Brasserie Bar Co, the company behind The Black Horse project, he commented:
“I can’t wait for The Black Horse to re-open as one of our wonderful White Brasserie pubs. I am very proud of the pubs we have opened alongside our Brasserie Blanc restaurants. They are typical ‘English’ pubs and The Black Horse will have the same rich interior decor, a great bar to lean on with a pint, snugs and cosy spaces and of course wonderful home cooked food. The lovely twist is that the pubs borrow some of the very best French dishes from the brasserie menu and combine those with pub classics such as gammon and eggs or pie of the day - it’s an eclectic mix that our guests absolutely love and we hope the good people of Thame love it too!”.
