The Big Breakfast - The Winner...

After eight very different breakfasts over the past couple of months, we have left it to our foody to decide the overall winner of Thame's best breakfast.

"It's been fantastic. I've enjoyed experiencing all that Thame has to offer. From cold beans to dirty floors, to happy staff - it's been memorable! BUT there is one that really did stand out. Right back where it all began, at The Thatch, who despite a £9.50 price tag, and coming in at the second most expensive of my eight week campaign, are fully justified with the quality of presentation, produce and service on the day. I would go back, and I would certainly be happy to part with my cash, for what I think is a deserving 'Thame's Best Breakfast'. Thanks to all the readers, I hope I've inspired you to stay local rather than venturing to the nearest McDonalds for a bacon and egg McMuffin. Despite the Thatch winning, special mention should go to The Snooker Club, who offer a great value for money breakfast, if you want a good breakfast that doesn't break the bank then head there from 11am (ish) on a Saturday morning. Equally, the Black Horse was the biggest surprise of the competition, offering a huge portion which was of equal quality. Until next time food-fans!"

We later caught up with The Thatch and presented them with their trophy, here is what they had to say:

"Thank you for this award, its lovely to receive recognition. Our chef's are the ones that truly deserve this, cooking the same quality food be it, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Every meal is cooked with love so come to The Thatch and try it yourself"

What we review next is down to you - is it the great Sunday roast? The best Thame take-away? You decide! Message us and let us know what you think!
