Beware of Professional Beggars in Thame

Police have warned that people pretending to be homeless are operating in the Oxfordshire area, including Thame.

Sadly, professional beggars have tried to scam kind-hearted residents out of their money.Those wanting to help the homeless are advised to donate to organisations and charities that are best placed to help the genuinely homeless, such as Homeless Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire Homeless Movement, and Emmaus House.

This event was originally due to be held on Sunday 29 September, but sadly we had to cancel it, due to extensive flooding making parts of the courses inaccessible. The new date of Sunday 5 January 2025 is now confirmed. We’ll transfer all the previous entries to the new date, and we’ll contact all original entrants, in case anyone can’t make it, in which case we’ll offer a full refund. ============================It’s back!
