Appeal for witnesses following burglary in Thame

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of burglary which occurred in Thame, Oxfordshire.

At a time between 5pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday (29/4) forced entry was made into a property in Swan Gardens.

Keys to a vehicle were then taken, which was driven away. Jewellery was also taken from the property.

The vehicle is a white coloured VW Golf, with part registration GJ15. It has not been recovered.

There is currently no description of an offender or offenders available.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Jamie Lawes, of Abingdon police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, during which entry was gained to a property before a vehicle and jewellery were taken.

“If anyone who lives in the local area, or who was in the vicinity at the time of this incident has any information, then please speak to police.

“The vehicle remains outstanding, therefore I would ask anyone who believes they have seen this white VW Golf, with a partial registration of GJ15, to make a report to police.

“As well as this, I would ask that any motorists in the area who have dashcam footage to review it to check if anything significant was captured.

“The preferred method of contacting police is via the online form, quoting reference 43200127302, or alternatively, you can call 101.

“If you wish to remain anonymous, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
