Thame Wombles have cautiously estimated that they have cleared over 4 tonnes of waste in Thame since January 23rd.
Special thanks goes to Bucks Recycling Ltd who have enabed them to clear several fly tips and historic waste from Thame.
Head Womble said: "BUCKS RECYCLING LTD... Have enabled us to clear several fly tips, and a huge amount of historic waste from Thame, and district. Our streets, popular walks and roadside ditches are much cleaner.
Our second event on Friday April 16th saw a much reduced load, but nevertheless, it was another massive achievement.
I estimate that Thame Wombles have cleared well over 4 tonnes of waste, during lock down, since January 23rd. This has meant that our town and the popular walks have had a deep clean that was long overdue.
The next main event for us will be at the end of the school summer break, when we will have been operational for almost 6 months.
