Treat the family to a fun day out at Thame's Summer Spectacular!
Taking place on the grounds at Chinnor RFC Thame between 11.00am - 4.00pm across this weekend 18 - 19 June, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy.
From fairground rides, arts and crafts, Morris dancing and much more, this is sure to be an enjoyable experience. And we haven't even mentioned the main event as this will all be happening amidst a battle. But don't fear if you hear swords clashing, pistols firing, and smell gunpowder, as The Sealed Knot are performing a re-enactment of the Road to Chalgrove Field. So, keep an eye out for John Hampden and his Parliamentarians in this English Civil War interpretation with the Royalists, which took place nearly 380 years ago. It should be a great spectacle celebrating both local and national history!
Tickets are priced at £10.00 per day, with anyone aged under 13 going free.
This event is organised by Chinnor RFC, The Sealed Knot and the Friends of Elms Park.
