Local company Schwartz, who are based in Haddenham, will be joining the celebration of food and drink at the Festival by offering visitors a unique insight into their world.
This renowned brand has been sourcing the globe’s best herbs and spices for over 125 years. That’s how they are able to bring the boldest chilli flakes, the brightest paprika and the most aromatic oregano straight from the harvest to your table. And now at Thame Food Festival it is your turn to experience the thrill of finding those perfect ingredients. So be prepared to be amazed, informed and educated as you take a step inside the Schwartz Sensorium.
Inside will be five giant jars waiting to awaken your senses. Each of which will take the time to explore a specific herb or spice, while taking you on an exciting sensory journey. You will be able to discover the origin of each herb or spice, learn how they are sustainably sourced and expertly harvested and how they can be used in unique, delicious recipes at home. And of course it wouldn’t be a true experience unless you had the opportunity to taste the quality of the ingredients with some of the tantalising food samples offered alongside the Sensorium. All of the delicious recipes creating ultimate dishes, incorporating the pure flavour of Schwartz herbs and spices. So step inside – and find yourself in a whole new world of flavour.
This is just one of the new exciting features joining Thame Food Festival this year. Including children activities run by local charity - Thomley, including ‘design your favourite dish’, face painting, tattoos - of the temporary variety - archery and giant bubbles. For the shopaholics, there will be a marquee of eclectic vintage-themed and beautifully unique home and kitchenware exhibitors by Humble Country.
